Plastic pallets a better choice than wooden ones?
Yes they are. Plastic pallets have many advantages over wooden pallets. Plastic doesn't absorb moisture, and it doesn't rot or splinter. Therefore plastic pallets are friendlier (more ergonomic) for the user. Plastic pallets require no maintenance, have a more attractive appearance (they are used to create colourful supermarket displays, for instance) and they have an extremely long service life. (Broken? Shred it, feed the plastic into the injection moulder, and voila: a new pallet.)
FUKA offers many styles of plastic pallets:
Plastic can be moulded into an endless number of shapes. We can use new or recycled plastic, and we can include additives to lower the price or increase the load-bearing capacity. We distinguish between ultra-light export pallets for use in airplanes and slightly heavier pallets for use on ships. There are also completely smooth pallets for the foodstuff and pharmacy sectors and pallets that withstand heavy loads for use in high bay pallet racking systems. See the underlying pages for more information.
Are plastic pallets environmentally friendly?
Plastic is made from natural gas. If you burn plastic it doesn't release any toxic substances, but it does produce more energy than the burning of gas. Production of plastic pallets is not environmentally harmful. In fact, it often makes use of gas that would otherwise be burned off during the extraction of crude oil. Our old pallets are also a sought-after raw material. They can be used to make pallets, pallet boxes and waste bins. We therefore guarantee buy-back at the prevailing price per kilogram.
